Matthew 12:38-40 (New American Standard Bible)
Then some of the scribes and Pharisees said to Him, “Teacher, we want to see a sign from You.” But He answered and said to them, “An evil and adulterous generation craves for a sign; and yet no sign will be given to it but the sign of Jonah the prophet; for just as Jonah was three days and three nights in the belly of the sea monster, so will the Son of Man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth.”

We live in an age very much like that of Jesus. Pseudo Christianity is everywhere. The same cry for supernatural signs to prove God’s existence radiates throughout the land.
Yes! Jesus was raised from the dead. Just as surely as Jonah was in the belly of the sea monster for three days and nights. Jesus rose from the dead the third day. No other religion on the face of the earth can claim a living founder who was raised form the dead.
The Covenant of God is not dependent on signs and wonders. It is absolute
and unchangeable. God declared it. He certified it through the sacrificial
blood offering of Jesus. He has established it with the life-changing
redemptive work at
The house of
God is performing miracles every day. Certainly signs and wonders are all about us. The power of Jesus name is beyond measure. His miracles of deliverance, healing, protection and provision are everywhere. We praise God for that. Surely, the Remnant of Israel understands the Word of God. The truth is exactly as Jesus expressed it. “No sign will be given except the sign of Jonah the prophet.”
Our redemption and restoration is not dependent on signs and wonders. There may be many of these, or there may be none. Whatever the case, we are redeemed through the blood of our risen Lord. Jesus paid the price for our transgressions. God raised Him from the dead. Because He lives, we too, shall live with him.
Jesus lives! He is coming back!
Because Jesus lives, we live also.
We live with a resurrected spirit, purchased from the grasp of sin and death by
our blessed redeemer, Jesus the Christ. He is coming back! We shall have a
