Thought for the Day

Ephesians 3:14-16(New American Standard Bible)

14ĒFor this reason I bow my knees before the Father, 16that He would grant you, according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened with power through His Spirit in the inner man,Ē

Cheer up! Be encouraged! God wants to bless his people of Israel with spiritual ability.

Perhaps you are facing a difficult time. Or you feel weak and incapable of living a victorious life. Personal necessities can become overwhelming. Daily responsibilities have a way of dampening our zeal for our Lord and Redeemer. We desire to be a blessing to others. We want to be a strong witness for Christ. Our heart hungers to live in the power and authority given by the Lord.

What a privilege to be one of Godís chosen! His blessing and promise to his people is beyond our ability to understand. His covenant with Israel is absolute. Yet, most of us are able to experience only a small part of his benefits.

God has made provision!

The Apostle Paul recognized the promise of God. He was certainly aware of Godís ability to protect and provide. The great abundant riches of the glory of God were well known to him. The Power of the Holy Spirit flowed through him. How encouraging! This commission of power and authority had been bestowed upon all that believe. (Habakkuk 3:4-7)(Luke 24:49) (Acts 1:8)(Romans 1:16)

The Glory of God is beyond measure. His power is unlimited.

Just as Jesus sent His disciples forth and gave them power and authority to preach the gospel, (Matthew10: 5-8) He has given each of us the same ability. We remember that Jesus prayed unto the Heavenly Father for us. He gave us the same power and ability that the Father had given him. (John 13:14) (John16: 26)

Godís power is our power. Jesus gave it to us.

Activate your faith. Claim your promise. Let the desires of your heart be known unto Him. Just as his power and Glory filled the temple of old, it abides within his people today. He has equipped us to live in victory. We are authorized to use his name. We have authority over the enemy just as Jesus did. The victory is ours.

Dear Heavenly Father, I love you. I want to serve you. Strengthen me in my inner man through your Spirit. Your ability is greater than all my circumstances. I want to walk in the fullness of your power and not my own. I choose your strength and wisdom today. Help me to claim the unlimited abundance of your Covenant. May others see your great love and glory through me. In Jesus name I pray. Amen.
