Thought for the Day # 159

2 Peter 1:2-3New American Standard Bible

2Grace and peace be multiplied to you in the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord;  3seeing that His divine power has granted to us everything pertaining to life and godliness, through the true knowledge of Him who called us by His own glory and excellence.

We often feel so incapable and inadequate to really live, as we should.  Often our inhibitions so bind us up that we find it difficult to face the challenges of the day.

This is simply not so. God has made it very clear that he has equipped His people to accomplish the tasks of each day as it presents itself for living.

God has perfect knowledge of our needs. He is aware of the physical and emotional weakness that we have. Our spiritual need is strengthened according to the challenge that confronts us. When we lack understanding or wisdom, the Holy Spirit is faithful to supply our need.

The Sons of God are not limited to their own abilities. We have been empowered by empowered by Him and the covenant of his word to live a victorious and holy life. He enables us to face the tangible problems while continuing to abide in righteousness given us through the atoning work of Jesus Christ.

Our ability comes through the full knowledge of God’s wonderful love and the redeeming work of our Lord, Jesus Christ. His word is filled with life and vitality.

His Spirit leads into all truth.

The grace and peace of God surely dwells with those who have been “born again” into the fullness of righteousness.

Let us refuse worrisome and frustrating concern and realize that he knows our every need. He is more than willing to provide for his own.

The Sons of God can surely live in confidence. We can face each day in His strength and ability, not our own.

Praise to our Heavenly Father. We can do all things through Jesus Christ who strengthens us.

Prayer:  Ask God to help you in your area of need for today.
