Thought for the day

Colossians 2:6-7 (KJV)

6As ye have therefore received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk ye in him:

7Rooted and built up in him, and stablished in the faith, as ye have been taught, abounding therein with thanksgiving.

Once we have received Christ Jesus as our Redeemer and Savior we understand that our entire life has changed.Old things are passed away and everything has become new.The things we once did that were unwholesome or sinful have no place in our life anymore. The wonderful things, attitudes and desires, that bring forth righteousness becomes the characteristics of our life.

We have been cleansed from all sin and unrighteousness through the blood of the Lord Jesus Christ who died for us. We have been washed and made clean. God looks upon us his children, pure and clean. For the first time in our life, we have the ability to say ďNoĒ to sin and stand our ground when we are tempted.

He gives us deep roots of faith that will keep us anchored solidly in His righteousness. The Holy Spirit establishes us in his truth. He gives us direction for our life and helps us to walk uprightly in his name.

God will continue to build us up in his Holy Word, teaching us his ways and guiding us in his paths. The foundation of our faith is established firmly in His kingdom. We are able to live a Godly life, without sin, daily.

We know that the Remnant of the lost tribes of Israel are continually covered by the mantle of this Holy Spirit. Each of us can live victoriously without fear of failure because of Godís unwavering care for us. Sin can no longer grip our lives in itís terrible bondage.

We can give God praise and glory regardless of the trials that we may face each day. Nothing can bring us back into bondage or keep us from His righteousness as we walk in the cleansing of his blood. The strength of our faith and the truth of His word will sustain us.

Let us claim our position in Christ. We are the redeemed of the Lord, the sons of the living God. His promise is sure, and his reward is established forever.

Surely it is time for us to rejoice and praise His name for the great and wonderful redemption that he has provided for us.

Dear God, I am so happy to be one of your children. Please help me to claim my position as a victorious Christian. Help me not to fear, but to walk in faith. I want to become stronger each day and learn to rejoice and praise you continually. Thanks for redeeming and establishing me in your Kingdom. Give me strength to turn away from sin and to live uprightly. I pray in the name of Jesus. Amen.
