Thought for the day # 186

Proverbs 2:6-7 (NASB)

For the LORD gives wisdom; From His mouth come knowledge and understanding. He stores up sound wisdom for the upright; He is a shield to those who walk in integrity”

We are often faced with situations and problems far beyond our capacity to handle.  Our intellectual comprehension and natural wisdom fail to provide insight and understanding that we so desperately need.

We serve a God who was promised never to leave or forsake us. He is aware of our limitations before we are faced with them. He has promised wisdom, knowledge and understanding to all who will serve him with integrity.

Our first thought of the day should focus on Him. He will give us the wisdom, knowledge and understanding that we need. He will give us quiet peace and confidence to deal with anything that we may face.

Let us take our confusing thoughts to our Heavenly Father.  He has promised to give us wisdom and knowledge beyond our own understanding. He gives us direction by the work of his Holy Spirit.  His wisdom unravels the network of confusion, guiding us through the troubled maze of the day.

Life would become so much easier, if we could remember to call upon him in our times of helpless frustration. He always has an answer.

Dear Father, I know that I need to learn to depend upon you more.  You have promised me all of the things that I need.  Help me to run to you for your wisdom, knowledge and ability.  I sometimes lean upon my own insight and understanding.  I try to be self sufficient and do everything in my own strength. Please forgive me.  I want to walk in your fellowship. I want you to direct my life. Teach me to come to you first.  Your answers are always better than mine. Help me, I pray in Jesus name.  Amen.
