Romans (New American Standard Bible)
16For I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes, to the Jew first and also to the Greek.
We live in a society that hates the Word of God. The very presence of those who serve God and worship him causes the ungodly to recoil in anger against them. They would love to silence everyone who cares to speak about purity and righteousness.
It is easy to feel intimidated at their railing and ranting for religious diversity. They apply constant pressure on the Christian community to keep quiet about their faith. It is perfectly all right for them to promote every demonic cult and religion with all the vigor that they can muster while they denigrate Christianity.
The apostle Paul said; “I am not ashamed of the gospel for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes”.
We hold in our possession the most powerful truth on the face of the earth. It is a message of deliverance and redemption. It brings eternal life to the lost. It is a living word that quickens and makes alive those who are dead in trespasses and sin.
Let us speak boldly, without
embarrassment or intimidation. We have the message of life and hope. a message of restoration to the lost sheep of
We can declare the glorious message of Jesus Christ as our Lord and King without apology or fear. We are not ashamed of the gospel of Christ!
Heavenly Father, forgive me for sometimes being intimidated by my oppressors. I have hidden my testimony out of fear of persecution. I have remained quiet when I could have delivered the message of your love and grace through Jesus Christ my Lord. Help me to become bold and unashamed. I really do want to be a strong witness for you. I pray in the name of Jesus Christ, my Redeemer. Amen.
