Thought for the Day #212

‘Do not fear, for I am with you; do not anxiously look about you, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, surely I will help you, surely I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.  Isaiah 41:10   (New American Standard Bible)

Peace of mind and spirit are of the utmost importance to us all.  We live in an age of unrest.  Confusion abides everywhere.  Uncertainties in life are overwhelming.  It is little wonder, that our generation is filled with trepidation and fear.

One of the great promises of our Heavenly Father establishes a place of peace for his people.  He has declared his ability to keep us from danger, solve our problems, supply our needs, and provide for our peace, far beyond our ability to understand.

He reminds us that he is always with us.  There is no need for us to fear. He is our  God. He has claimed us as his own. He has invested a price beyond measure, to redeem us (buying us back) through the sacrifice of his only begotten Son, Jesus the Christ.

God’s commitment to his people is an absolute. We are not to be anxious about things around us. We serve a trustworthy God who is able and willing to cover us with his protective power and divine ability. He will overshadow us with his compassion and love. His righteous hand is always stretched forth to help us in time of need.

He has promised to uphold us with his right hand. When trouble seems to overwhelm us and our abilities are stretched beyond our comfort zone, we can turn to Him, knowing that He will never leave or forsake us.

We should never be dismayed at the circumstances around about us. We are people of His Kingdom. His Covenant with us has proven to be true, his ability is more than sufficient. He has declared himself to be present to help in the time of need.

He has promised to uphold us with the right hand of his righteousness. Let us put away our anxious fears and enter into His peace that passes all understanding.

Each new day should bring quiet confidence in our Heavenly Father.  Nothing can move us from His protective covering, grace and love. What a wonderful privilege to know Him as our Lord and Redeemer.

Dear Heavenly Father, you are an awesome God. Thank you for meeting my needs and comforting me when I become anxious. Please help me not to worry. I want to be a person of strong faith and confidence. I know you have all of the abilities necessary to meet my daily needs. Help me to always trust you. I pray in Jesus name. Amen.
