Thought for the day # 234

PLEASING TO THE LORD

1 Samuel 12:22    (New American Standard Bible)

“For the LORD will not abandon His people on account of His great name, because the LORD has been pleased to make you a people for Himself.

We live in a generation filled with fear and insecurities. Many have constant concern about being deserted and alone. Their greatest fear Is having no one for support or fellowship. Most people become terrified at the thought.

Christians sometimes fall into this trap. They do not know the promises of God, or perhaps they have simply forgotten them.

We of the Kingdom of God should not be deceived by the conniving impulses of the enemy. They are distortions and lies. Satan’s greatest tool is fear.

We know that we are the people of God. Remember his commitment to his own.

He will never abandon those who serve him. We Belong to Him by his choice. He delights in blessing us. He has promised never to leave us or forsake us. So that we may say, I shall never be afraid.  What can man do to me? (Hebrews 13:5- 6)

Be encouraged in your moment of fear and despair. Our Heavenly Father looks upon us. He knows exactly where we are and what we are going through.  Jesus, our Lord and Redeemer, has already experienced every problem we face.

We can trust our Heavenly Father to cover us with his great protection and love. He is always with us.

Look up and rejoice. Freely express your need to Him. Walk in confidence that He is always present with you. He will guide you through your greatest trial, victoriously.

Boldly claim your right of citizenship in His Kingdom. That membership provides everything we need for a successful and happy life. Praise His holy name!

Prayer:

I come to you Heavenly Father, with a fearful heart. I am lonely and discouraged. I have forgotten to stand upon your wonderful promises. Forgive me Lord. I know that your word is true. You will never abandon me. Help me to draw closer to you. I know that you will make a way for me where there is none. I want to feel your presence about me every day. I pray in Jesus name.  Amen.
