we can. Many people spend much time and
money trying to preserve their youth.

We will do almost anything to increase our lifespan. Great effort is expended in the exercise gym. Much time is spent in making dietary decisions and healthy eating habits.
All of these things may be very valid. They probably have a positive impact upon our general health and appearance. Certainly, it is good for everyone to preserve their health and youthful appearance as long as possible.
Christians have an added benefit. They have been given formulas for eating.Their
dietary habits are established by God.
The scriptures make it clear as to what we should and should not

care for our bodies, because they are the
In addition to this, God has given a promise to those who walk in his statutes and obey his commandments. He illustrates this with his commitment to Solomon. He declared; if you walk in my ways I will prolong your days.
All the money spent on cosmetics and beauty aids may be useless. Diligent effort expended in exercise can be wasted, unless we live according God's directives.
Be of good courage. The foundation for an extended life filled with health and ability rests in our commitment to the principles of God.
Conduct your life according to the instruction of the Scriptures. Live uprightly before God. Claim his promise for extended days, and the other efforts you put forth will be far more productive.
Heavenly Father, I sincerely want to live a long time. I enjoy my life, and I thank you for your provisions. Help me to remember that you are the giver of life. I want to enjoy every minute of it. Help me to understand that the secret of a long life is mine through obedience to your word. Please help me to live in your righteousness. I pray in the name of Jesus Christ my Lord and Redeemer. Amen.
