Thought for the Day #251

Isaiah 54:10    New American Standard Bible

10          “For the mountains may be removed and the hills may shake,

But My lovingkindness will not be removed from you,

And My covenant of peace will not be shaken,”

Says the LORD who has compassion on you.

Life seems to be filled with intimidation. We become uncertain of almost everything around us. Loyalty and friendship have become fleeting experiences of another time.  Fear and insecurity become overwhelming.

All kinds of terror may encompass us.  Great earthquakes, raging storms, and natural disasters on every side may pierce our hearts with fear.  Uncontrollable circumstances, laced with danger and trouble may raise their ugly head against us.  Yet, we need not fear.

Certainly, this is the way of life today.  For those who do not know Almighty God, life must seem to be empty and hopeless.  Not so, for the Sons of God.

Our heavenly Father has made commitment unto all who have been redeemed.  He has promised to be faithful and dependable regardless of our difficulties.

God's lovingkindness will never leave us.  His love and strength belong to us.  No matter how great or dangerous the threat, He will be faithful to his own. His love and mercy endures with much grace.  His Covenant of peace will not be shaken. His holy compassion preserves us.

Let us remember whom we serve.  God so loved us that he gave his only begotten Son for our redemption. We have been purchased with a great price, because God made a covenant with his people.

Rejoice! God changes not. He will keep his promise. You need not fear. His love is everlasting, His compassion is beyond measure.

Heavenly Father, I become fearful and confused when the uncertain pressures of life surrounded me.  Help me to be strong and unafraid in the face of adversity.  Sometimes, I am so overwhelmed that I forget your Covenant promise.  Forgive me. Surely, you will never leave me nor forsake me.  Help me to remember your promise.  I pray in the name of Jesus Christ my Lord and Redeemer.  Amen
