Thought for the Day #333

Rom 8:35-38 (New American Standard Bible)

5 Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? 36 Just as it is written, "For Thy sake we are being put to death all day long; We were considered as sheep to be slaughtered." 37 But in all these things we overwhelmingly conquer through Him who loved us. 38 For I am convinced that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, 39 nor height, nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Many things try to tear the true believer away from security in our Lord and Redeemer. We often live in circumstances that we do not understand. Sometimes these are very painful and hard to bear. They may be simply confusing irritations that steal our peace and tranquility from us.

The enemy will try to persuade us that things are out of our control. He will tell us, there's nothing we can do about it, that we are doomed to defeat and failure.

This is never true. There is no power on the face of the earth that can tear us away from the keeping power of our Lord Jesus Christ. We may go through trials and tribulations but the love of Christ is always with us.

Every believer faces testing and trials of different dimension. Yes, some have given their life in their commitment to our Lord and Redeemer. Certainly, the enemy targets every Christian for his diabolical attacks.

Let us be reminded that whether we live or die, or have peace and rest, we are victors and overcomers in the Lord Jesus Christ. He gives us sustaining strength, courage and endurance far beyond our own ability when we are besieged by the enemy.

Look up for your help. He never fails us. Nothing can separate us from the love of God and our savior, the Lord Jesus Christ. No matter the costs, nothing can rip us from the New Covenant promises to the citizens of the Kingdom of God.

Dear Heavenly Father, I feel weak and frail. My heart pounds in fear. Circumstances before me are more than I can endure. I need your miraculous power and strength. I choose to trust you. Help me through this trying situation. I know that nothing can separate you from your love. Add to my faith. I know that with you, I can be more than a conqueror. I pray in Jesus name. Amen.
