Thought for the Day # 365

Proverbs 24:1-2 (New American Standard Bible)

Do not be envious of evil men,

Nor desire to be with them;

2 For their minds devise violence,

And their lips talk of trouble.

We often look about us and find that the ungodly seem to prosper while we struggle to survive, at best.It seems so unfair. Life seems to be so easy for them and so difficult for us.

Be reminded that the bible says that the only reward they have is what they obtain here on earth. They have nothing but eternal judgment awaiting them.

The reward of the righteous is eternal. Not only do we have everlasting life but we shall enjoy far greater blessing throughout the ages to come.

God sees your struggle and will reward you for it. He will sustain and keep you. He will bless you for your faithful service and preserve your righteous possessions forever.

The earthly gain of the unrighteous is like dry straw and stubble. It will wither and be consumed by the fire of Godís Judgment.

Look upon the permanent possessions produced in righteousness, and rejoice. You are laying up in the storehouse of God where neither moth nor rust can destroy.

Trust God. He will raise you up and reveal his glory in you. The anguish is but for a moment and then the blessings will flow. Your faithful trust will produce great reward.

Dear Heavenly Father, help me to remember that I must not unite myself with the un-Godly. I look upon them with envy sometimes. They seem to always prosper.

Forgive me, I pray. Surely the ways of my Lord are far better than the way of the evil man. Mold me and shape me, Oh Lord. Establish me in the pathway of righteousness. Let your glory rest upon me that I might establish your name in the presence of the evil ones. I pray in the name of Jesus, My Lord and Redeemer, Amen.
