Thought for the Day # 366

Isaiah 40:28-29 (New American Standard Bible)

Do you not know? Have you not heard?

The Everlasting God, the LORD, the Creator of the ends of the earth

Does not become weary or tired.  His understanding is inscrutable.

29 He gives strength to the weary, And to him who lacks might He increases power.

Weariness is a constant problem for most of us today. We are pressed on every hand with problems and trials that seem so overwhelming.

Spiritual battles and physical problems are a continual burden. We must work longer only to receive less. There is never time to rest, relax, or enjoy the simple things of life.

We are embattled by Satanic, evil works of Babylon at every turn. You might ask, “will it never end?’. The answer, of course, is “Yes” it will end when our King Jesus returns.

Until then, we can look to Almighty God for our strength and endurance. He never fails to sustain and keep those who belong to him.

Look up to your everlasting God. Call upon Him.  He will extend ability, power and strength to those who are His and trust in him.

Almighty God in Heaven, I am so tired and weary. Every day is a struggle for me. Help me to learn how to walk in your strength and not my own. I sometimes forget that you are always with me. Forgive me. I want to grow in faith and learn to trust in your strength and ability more. I am so glad that I can rely upon your strength and not my own. Thank you, Lord for being with me. I know that you will sustain and keep me. Let your refreshing Spirit rest upon me everyday. I pray in the name of Jesus, my Lord Redeemer. Amen
