Thought for the Day #372

Daniel 7:26-27 (New American Standard Bible)

27'Then the sovereignty, the dominion, and the greatness of all the kingdoms under the whole heaven will be given to the people of the saints of the Highest One; His kingdom will be an everlasting kingdom, and all the dominions will serve and obey Him.'

Many become discouraged as they watch the anti-god forces of this world continue to destroy our country. They have no respect for God or man. Their destruction of our resources and especially the moral and spiritual deterioration of our people produce two prevalent emotions. One: discouragement, the other; anger.

One who loves the Lord God and values his righteous standards cannot help but be enraged at the invasion of the enemy into every area of our life. It seems that nothing can stop the onslaught. Yet, the Scriptures tell us that we need not be afraid.

We are reminded that God is still in control and that He has made the end result very clear. Like those who read a mystery novel and canít wait for the conclusion, we need only read Godís Word to discover the end result.

We Win!!! The above passage in the book of Daniel, declares that ALL of the nations of this world will succumb to the Lord Jesus Christ. He will rule over them all AND give the ruler ship to His saints who have been faithful.

We should do all we can to stem the tide of evil that rages against us. Donít think for a moment that the battle is too hard or that we cannot win. Indeed WE DO WIN and have every right to rejoice. The wealth and power of every nation will be given to the saints of God. Just imagine possessing all the power, wealth and abundance of the ungodly that is promised to us, the Children of Israel.

REJOICE and be Glad. Our GOD REIGNS!! So shall we in a very short time. Surely, His return is near. All of our anguish and pain will fade into oblivion and the Glory of our King will rule for all the ages to come.

Almighty God, I come to you with a repentant heart. I have looked at the circumstances about us and been intimidated and discouraged. Forgive me! Thank you for the promised victory. Help me to prepare the way for your soon return. Enlarge my knowledge and help me to increase my faith. Your word is strength and comfort to me. Thank you, Lord. Help me to remember that the battle has already been won by Jesus Christ, my Lord and Redeemer. I pray in the power and authority of his name. Amen.
