Thought for the Day # 381

The LORD executeth righteousness and judgment for all that are oppressed.7 He made known his ways unto Moses, his acts unto the children of Israel.Psalms 103:6-7KJV

It is no secret that the poor and oppressed are often ignored, falsely accused, unjustly penalized and generally mistreated by those whom we trust.

Likewise, the general public and often, even family and friends, are prone to believe the worst about a person. They look down upon them, giving little attention to those in need.A condescending attitude and total indifference is commonly exhibited. They will often believe the false accusations rather than the obvious truth.

Busy schedules and pressures of life seem to dull the compassion of those round about us. Little thought is given concerning the plight of others.Introverted preoccupation with self dulls oneís sensitivity to those who are crying out for help and justice.

You may feel as though no one cares.Even your loved ones misunderstand or seem to be helpless in their ability to strengthen or help.

Not so, with God! He always understands, but just as importantly he is always watching for the opportunity to justify those who put their faith and trust in Him.

Jesus Christ, our Lord and Redeemer has endured the pain and suffering of all injustice. He offered himself as our deliverer and justification through the price that he paid on the cross of Calvary. In other words, He put himself in our place, took our injustices upon him, and paid the price for our freedom from the law of sin and death.

Donít be discouraged when those round about you falsely accuse or indict you unjustly. Turn to your Lord and Redeemer and your Heavenly Father. You will find strength and comfort plus perfect justice for your situation. He is anxious to come to the rescue of the oppressed and free those who are under bondage and imprisoned to the pain of false accusations. He will heal the hurt, nourish your spirit and set you free from condemnation.

Dear Heavenly Father, I am overwhelmed with the forces of oppression and injustice brought upon me by my accusers. They have unjustly judged me. I feel deserted and condemned without cause. Those whom I love and depend upon have forsaken me.

Hear my cry, Oh God! You know even the secret thoughts of my heart. You have seen my every action, both good and bad. Forgive my failures and shortcomings. Cleanse me from every sin. I claim the righteousness of Jesus Christ for my justification. Let your perfect judgment lift me from the pit of oppression and establish me in your perfect love. Justify me before my accusers and direct my path in your ways of righteousness. I pray in the name of Jesus Christ, youíre only begotten son and my Savior/Redeemer. Amen.
