WHEN FAINTING ó REMEMBER THE LORD
When my soul fainted within me I remembered the LORD: and my prayer came in unto thee, into thine holy temple.† Jonah 2:7†† KJV
Stressful situations can be overwhelming to the point that we become confused and are unable to make wise decisions or think correctly.† We become overwhelmed and sometimes panic when confronted with catastrophic problems.
you remember the story of Jonah and his rebellion against God.† He thought he had a better plan and was
determined to disobey Godís directive to preach a message of repentance to the
His disobedience caused him to be cast overboard as the ship battled a storm that was overwhelming. The scriptures tell us that God prepared a great fish which swallowed him up. Needless to say, he suddenly had an urgent problem that was beyond his ability to handle. Overcome with terrorizing fear, he cried out to God for deliverance.
Manís carnal nature has not changed. We too, have a tendency to walk in rebellion against Godís directives.. Our obstinacy often gets us into trouble, and like Jonah, our heart faints within us.
At such a time as this, remember the Lord, call upon him with a repentant and submissive spirit. You may feel embarrassed and unworthy because of your disobedience.
Just remember that we serve a very loving Lord.† His patience is beyond measure and though we may have disappointed him by ignoring his leadership and doing our own thing, he is always ready to respond to those that cry out for help and repent of their stubborn sin.

Prayer: Dear Heavenly Father, Iím a disobedient child.† I have made my own decisions without your guidance.† I have acted in my own will instead of yours. I find myself in a situation that I do not know how to handle, and I need your help.
Forgive me for my rebellious and stubborn attitude, cleanse me from my sins, salvage my soul from destruction and lead me through the trials before me.† I pray in Jesus name.† Amen.†
